I havent heard of any alcohol restrictions except the obvious...dont take with pain meds. Im pretty sure at 7 weels your fine. I mean those pain meds were pretty killer on the stomach and intestines causing constipation and stomach upset. I see no issue in it, but you may wanna call and ask your doctor if you have doubts.

Two things come to miind -- one, I know I'm a bit more clumsy if I have a bit too much. Be careful! Two, I seem to be more sensitive to alcohol since surgery. I don't know why, it just seems to make me feel lousy. You might want to take it slowly.

Have fun!

As long as you are not taking narcotic pain medications concurrently, you should be fine - but if you still need pain relief, I would advise against drinking alcohol. I had my surgery 12/10 & enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner 2 weeks later (Christmas Eve) as well as socially over the holidays; I felt fine. Just like everything else in life - do it in moderation & do what is best for you! Enjoy yourself

I had a few cocktails at the 7 week mark and I was fine. I wasn't taking any meds at all and would be careful if you mix the two.

I didn't over do it, but it was a party so I had a few and even danced!!!

I am sure you have already thought of this but having some food in your tummy before you have a drink should help your insides, too.

Word of caution. Don't know whether your surgery caused you to experience the "joys" of surgicial menopause (hot flashes/night sweats), but alcohol makes them MUCH worse for me.
