Eyesight changes

I have 4 different pairs of glasses on my nighstand. I never know from day to day, sometimes hour to hour which one is going to work for me. 2pairs are old scripts, 1 is my current script, and 1 is a pair of reading glasses. I read on here earlier before my surgery that some women do have problems, but to wait a couple of months to see what happens. I am anxious to see what everyone else has to say.

I also have had eyesight changes since my hysterectomy. I used to wear glasses just for reading, but I now wear them most of the time.

Eyesight changes

I have good eyesight. At the 3-4 weeks post-op, I had trouble reading the fine print on stuff, but it has all gone back to normal. It took a couple of weeks.

Eyesight changes

Yes! I've had problems seeing fine printed material. I need to have my eyes checked, anyway, as it has been a while, and I'm sure I will need new glasses, but I'm waiting until March for insurance purposes. Maybe by then I will see an optical improvement, but somehow I doubt it...

Eyesight changes

I am 7 months post op and I am counting down til I see my eye doctor in 2 weeks. My current prescription has gotten progressively worse since December. I only needed them for reading before surgery, now it seems I need them for everything else as well. I did hear that after any kind of anesthesia there is a change in vision. Don't know if that is fact or fiction.

Eyesight changes

I had LASIK surgery 6 days before my hysterectomy, so I have nothing to really judge my eyesight changes on. I did have major fluctuations for a while afterwards, though. I had read on this board about others who experienced eyesight changes, so at one of my LASIK follow-ups I asked my surgeon about it.

He said that the hysterectomy should not have affected my vision at all. I kept my ovaries...I think he did mention that if you have your ovaries removed the hormone fluctuations can affect vision. In my case, it was pretty typical after the major correction that I had done to experience the changing vision for a few months.

Just thought I'd let you know what an eye doctor had to say on the subject.
