New bleeding

OK, was all ready to post this and when I checked my email, there was a 3-4 week checkpoint list in my email that mentions this, but thought I'd still get everyone's thoughts....

I had a TAH on November 5th, so I'm exactly 3 weeks post-op. I only had vaginal bleeding for two days post-op in hospital and then nothing .... until a couple of days ago.

Not alot, I guess you would call it spotting. Started out light pink for the first day and is now brown.

Is this the vaginal cuff stitches dissolving that the checkpoints talking about? Has anyone else had this? It kinda worried me after not bleeding for three weeks.

Thanks all!! :-D

New bleeding

That happened to me too, tnt. Hardly any spotting at all and then alot of red during Week 3. It seems to come and go, some days it's there, some days it's not.

I think it's normal. I understand it's stitches and dead tissue shedding. It was very alarming to me, at first, just because it was something different than what had been happening with me. But it wasn't constant and definitely not flowing, and then disappeared altogether the next day. Just part of the healing process, I think.

Thank you, JoEllen. I guess I kinda was thinking that it was just continued healing, but thank you so much for letting me know I wasn't the only one!
