Birth Control Question
I am on the birth control patch and after my last period, I begged my doctor to let me wear one constantly (no periods). I am having a little break through bleeding, but it isn't the flooding it was. I am having a TAH on the 14th and I am wondering if I should refill my prescription just for 4 days (I change on Sundays). I don't have my pre-op until Monday, so I don't really know what to do. Anyone else have this problem?? Were you told to stop birth control before surgery?? Thanks again!!!

Birth Control Question
Hi
Your best bet is to check with your doctor. He'll know best what he wants you to do.

birth control
You probably should talk to your doctor. My doctor told me to stay on the patch until the surgery. The same thing happened to me, my perscription ran out just four days before my surgery.

Birth Control Question
For sure check with your dr. It all depends on exactly what YOUR situation is.
for example, I was taking the pill for 3 months solid before surgery, and then had to be off it for 1 month prior to my surgery date.
don't worry if you have your period the day of surgery , that should not be an issue - but again, you can get reassurance on that from your doctor.
good luck!
