epidural for TVH

Hello! I'm new here. Just scheduled a TVH for July 2nd. I was told that I could just get an epidural and an IV with something ( I forget what they said it would be). Anyway, I liked this idea, because the thought of being totally put under scares me. I was wondering if anyone else had used the epidural for a TVH and if they remember anything of the operation. I don't want to remember any of it either. So, if I will, I'd rather just deal with being put asleep I think. Any responses will be appreciated! Thank you!

I had a tvh on 5/14 with epidural. They gave me Versed to relax me. I didn't really care what they did after that.

I do remember some things from surgery - but I wasn't aware of anything that was being done at the time. The anesthesiologist stayed right beside me and talked to me through the surgery. I remember country music was playing in the background. I didn't feel any pulling or tugging (I had worried about THAT!). I just felt one little pat on my tummy - not sure what that was.
