Pre-op for myomectomy

I have 9 days until my myomectomy. What do i have to do to get out of the hospital as fast as possible? Excersize, l-arginne, multi vitamin,. I am trying to relax about it but i have to get out of the hospital fast.

Will your myomectomy be done through laparoscopic surgery or through a hysteroscope (surgical instruments inserted through the vaginal canal)? That might make a difference in how soon you can be released.

My myomectomy was done hysteroscopically as part of a D&C and the removal of a polyp. With no incisions at all, it was same-day surgery. I was the first surgery of the morning, and I was home before noon. Laparoscopic surgery that involves external incisions might be different, as would a laparatomy.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts......my m.d. and I have discussed laproscopic surgery. The fibroids are to large and calcified so I will have to have to have an abdominal cut. I still have one more pre-op visit with her I'll get more details then. I am a planner and a little bit of a control freak so, it's hard not knowing. I will do anything to heal as fast as I can though. I am also going to talk to a nutritionist and find out my options
