Hemmorhoids?

Gross I know but when I got home from the hospital I soon found that the horrendous pain in my rear was a giant hemorrhoid right inside the anus. So big it basically blocked the exit. Lol. It hurts to sit, it hurts to have a bm, (what few I have), and it basically just hurts all the time. I have been using Preparation H and Tucks, but it is hard to sleep when it feels like I have toilet paper stuck to my butt.

Anyone else have this problem?

Re: Hemmorhoids?

My hubby has a terrible time with hemorrhoids. The doctor prescribed some cream for him that seems to work well; better than the prep H. Maybe call your doc and see what they can do for you? I hope you feel better soon. It's miserable!

Re: Hemmorhoids?

I just kept up with the prep H & tucks until it went down. I was not happy to feel that giant grape down there after my surgery! I also used dermoplast spray on my perineal stitches and it seemed to help numb the hemmorhoid too. It was almost completely gone after 2 weeks.

Re: Hemmorhoids?

When I tried to explain the source of the pain to my husband it was like talking about a vagina to an 11 year old boy. He was seriously disgusted but trying to hide it as to not hurt my feelings. The grape thing is a perfect description. Today I think it has gone down some, but I will ask at my post-op if there is anything more I can do

Re: Hemmorhoids?

I have been restricting coffee and that seems to be helping. Also a few good bowls of oatmeal helped sooth the throat to the bum post-op. Not a cure, but the oatmeal seemed to help.
