Strange "arousal" symptoms as body recovers from Sx

Okay--I KNOW this is weird. I'm 12 days post-op and have been living with frequent twinges of spontaneous arousal (possibly clitoral?) for the past 2-3 days. Would a laparascopic hysterectomy and the healing process have anything to do with this? It's...bizarre!

It isn't unusual to have a wild libido and arousal after the surgery. Hormones have been messed with as have body parts.

So my non-medical professional opinion is that you are experiencing a normal healing process. It will most likely calm down over the following weeks.

about 10 days after my surgery I was on my first venture out in the car when hubby and I got talking. All of a sudden mini o just thinking about hubby. So yes, it's normal

That happened to me as well. I had my surgery last August and within a few weeks I was extremely aroused, more so than usual. My jeans rubbing or bumpy car rides, anything seemed to stimulate the area, sexual thoughts were "taking over"...lol....I thought , wow, this is great, but 3 months later it was declining fast. I am now on testosterone since early March and have the libido of my 25 year old self.

I had a TAH and whoa boy...seemed all my body wanted to do was get ready for sex....(not that I actually felt like doing anything) ...but man oh man...did not take anything to get aroused....

I found that many of the other sisters during my recovery week were going through the same thing....

I was one of the lucky ones I guess, as my desire has kept up and i find it quite easy to become aroused...mine and dh's sex life has never been better! ;-)

I TOO have this issue now....Its a little frustrating since Im almost 2 wks post op and obvioulsy sex with DB is out....I thought I was the only one with this "problem" and now its nice to know this too is just another part of healing....weird, mindboggling, and just a wee bit sad
