Unilateral clear breast discharge

About a week ago I noticed a bit of clear discharge from my right breast after showering. I figured it was left over water I missed while drying the first time.

The next day, I noticed a little bit of discharge again when changing. Gave a small squeeze to see if anything came (thought maybe was sweat as is hot here), and had more clear discharge. Left alone & hoped was just random.

Woke up today with spot about size of quarter on right side of shirt. Guess still leaking.

I am scheduled for hysterectomy on Aug 24 and did write on the questionnaire that I have had recent breast discharge. I know gyn looked it over as she questioned me about other things on the sheet, but the discharge was not addressed.

Is this unusual, or is it no biggie as gyn didn't ask anymore about it? Anyone else have this happen and it was nothing to worry about? I would hate to have my surg cancelled by following up on it if it is nothing of concern.

I am 36 and definitely not pregnant, nor have I had any babies recently. I do not feel any breast lumps when I check.

Re: Unilateral clear breast discharge

I had clear discharge for a couple of years and never thought to much about it, being as I have breastfed two children. Then earlier this year that clear turned into a bloody discharge. Went to the doc and had to have surgery to remove two benign tumors. One of which (found out after waking) had grown inside of my nipple. Resulting in the loss of over half of my nipple on my right breast.

It may not be anything that would affect your hyster but speaking from experience I would keep an eye on it.
