10 days post hysterectomy: Muscle spasm???

So this morning when I woke up I was fine. When I went to sit on the couch I had such a pain in my stomach below my belly button to the left. It feels like a muscle spasm. It happens when I go to get up as well. It goes away after about 5 mins of walking and then happens again when I go to sit. I think maybe I over did it yesterday, I'm not really sure. Anyone experience this???

Re: Muscle spasm???

Sounds like you're overdoing it, still in early recovery. Use you arms more to help you to sit, stand & get in & out of bed vs relying on your abs. Muscular or internal pulls where your surgeon worked.

I like using an ab binder & cool packs & heating pad for pain. Idk if you're on pain meds, but I was on 800 mg motrin (then down to 400 mg, tgen 200 mg as needed 6 hrs). I easnt on other pain meds for TAH. . I think it helped w the inflamation & my pain.
