Pelvic Floor Exercises post hysterectomy

Hi
I had a TAH 10 weeks ago. Still doing my pelvic floor exercises. How long do I continue with these?

Many women consider their pelvic floor exercises a part of their on-going daily routine to keep those muscles toned and healthy. Perhaps discuss with your GYN or PCP about whether they want you to only continue them for a certain period of time. There are benefits to these exercises, they help prevent pelvic organ prolapse (perhaps especially so after the cervix and uterus are removed), can increase sexual pleasure, and can decrease urinary incontinence. As menopause begins, these exercises can become even more important, as the lack of estrogen associated with menopause can cause the pelvic floor to weaken.
