Home Sweet Home

Had surgery on Thursday and was home Saturday around 3:00pm.

I feel great! I am sore but I was up walking right away as soon as they took the catheter out. (I was already off my PCA since my IV infiltrated and I had a hand as large as a balloon. Not fun, I woke up to the saline solution pouring out of my had. It is finally down.

I am home and walking and walking. THe hardest thing so far is convincing my husband that I am suppose to walk and that I am not glass.

I go in on Wednesday to get the staples removed.

Waiting was hard, but after they removed a utereus and fibroids of 841 grams!!! I am feeling much better. The three largest were around 17 cm, 14 cm and 11 cm. Boy I am glad to be rid of them.

Good luck to all!

There is definitely no place like home. Be sure you don't overdo the walking.
Take care,

Welcome home

I'm happy that you are home! It sounds like your DH is taking good care of you and pampering you well! Don't forget to drink plenty of water and rest in addition to those short slow walks!

Best wishes for a good recovery!

Welcome home from the castle. I'm also glad that you DH is pampering you. I know that I'm going to have a hard time convincing mine that I'm not glass also. He know that now if I do too much that my pain is pretty severe so after the surgery is probably going to try to tie me down so I don't do to much.
