Constant back and hip pain 4mths post op

I had my surgery 3 1/2 mths ago. When I started moving more my back pain was out of control. I thought as I recovered it would subside but it seems to be getting worse . Bloodwork a month ago shows my cholesterol in danger zone and high blood pressure which I NEVER had before surgery. I have seen my family practitioner,OB,Spine doctor and none could give me any answers...
So I went to PT to try to learn exercises to help strengthen core. She was doing a strength test by just having me lay on my side and slightly lift my leg while she applied gentle pressure to my foot . I HOWLED in pain and jumped off the table crying. She said it was my inner rotator where it connects to pelvis and they are not trained to work with that area ,so she couldn't help either. She recommended I see a holistic group that deals with back and pelvis rehab.
I am so tired of painful restless nights of little sleep , waking at a snails pace and just all around limited strength in my activity.
I need to hear that this gets better, I am so depressed and feeling hopeless. Is this pain normal ?What can I do to strengthen my body without hurting it more? I just want to feel like my "old self again " I'm desperate and scared and this group is my last hope at getting some real advice and support.

I'm so sorry to read of your continuing pain. You're doing all the things I'd do if I were experiencing your level of hip/back pain. The other avenues I'd pursue would be an orthopedist and/or sports rehab specialists. Did the spine doc check for a herniated disc? Too, I'm wondering if you have an entrapped nerve, so a neurologist might be another option. You don't mention if any of your doctors have suggested an MRI to perhaps get a handle on what might be going on.
