surgery the 10th

My lavh is this Friday and I have started to freak out a little ..trying to tie loose ends up at work has me overwhelmed and then fear something will go wrong in surgery then I'm worried post op about feeling myself. Sounds silly I'm sure but it feels like I'm losing my womanhood and I'm not yet 40 (October) but worried I wont ever feel sexy again just frumpy and yucky...I know they are just nerves and I am always an upbeat happy person but somehow this all feels different ...

My surgery is the 10th too. Same procedure. I am scared but ready. I figure i cant feel any less frumpy than i do wearing black pants all the time with my thick pads, crippled with pain. I decided to look at this as my new life from the unhappiness of continuing bleeding, migraines, heating pads, midol and ruining multiple articles of clothing.

Sorry i had to laugh at the part of feeling frumpy in black pants with what i call diaper size pads and pain. It's true it is going to feel great having all that end forever. We can all wear white now.
Payless73, I am guessing it's pretty normal for all us to experience intense emotional responses. This is a big deal.
Just be gently on yourself and know you are going to be ok.
