How long do glue stitches stay on?

Do they just come off when they are ready? I did not get instructions on them. My post op is in 4 weeks.

Had my surgery yesterday as well. I was advised that they would come off in the next two weeks. My nurse said that if they are peeling and itching then you can gently scratch them off. I only have two of the glue stitches that were for the bladder sling.

Mine started pealing off around a week and a half post op. :-)

I have 4, one is in my belly button.

I am 15 days post op, had my two week check up yesterday, my glue stitches are starting to peel around edges, doctor said I can peel them off, but advised to do it while dry like not right after showering

I had TAH July 15 and only the edges of glue peeled off..I was wondering the same thing! Its itching bad

I had my surgery on the 16th and the glue is practically gone. They just kind of flake off when the skin underneath is healed. I think it's great...no infection or itch. I just shower as usual, but gently around the incisions.

Just had my one week post op visit for dVH and my doctor said peel away!
