Hysterectomy tomorrow (7/16) - bowel prep question

Just started bowel prep. Taking 10 ounces of magnesium citrate. Was any one given instructions on how quickly you need to drink it? I wasn't.
I'd really prefer to sip it over an hour. Does anyone think that's too long?

Re: Hysterectomy tomorrow (7/16) - bowel prep question

Well, that's what I did. If I have to drink it faster, I think I would have thrown up.

Re: Hysterectomy tomorrow (7/16) - bowel prep question

I was supposed to start mine at 2. But I am a slow drinker, especially with something that doesn't taste good. I got it really cold, poured 1/2 of the bottle in a juice glass, made a cup of chicken broth, took 2 sips of mag citrate and then sip of broth. When I finished the half, I waited about an hour and then did the other half. Worked well for me.
