Just got home an hour ago. Doctor wanted to wait another 4 weeks to repeat the PAP, darn it. But had the US done.

It was neat to actually see and have things explained. The complex cysts are smaller but they have been joined by another larger, septated complex cyst. And numerous simple cysts. Ovaries themselves have gotten bigger.

He found a fibroid and says it appears to him that my left ovary is adhered to my uterus.

Discussed symptoms with him. Had a long discussion. Left the office mulling over two options.

First being total hyst/BSO and surgical menopause.

The second being lap/laser/excision and lupron. No add back therapy. Says he won't do a lap unless I agree to take lupron for at least 3 months afterwards. He said there is always microscopic lesions that he can't see to remove and needs the lupron to take care of those.

But the caveat with the lupron is that he said it was great for simple, moderate endo but not often helpful when the endo is in the ovaries. It comes back more often than not.

I have an appointment with primary doc tomorrow for blood pressure issues, need to increase the dose of my meds or add new med. Will discuss other issues with her.

So I guess the question really is to Lupron or not to Lupron. Off to investigate more.

Thanks for being here,

Hi Dee,

Thanks for keeping us posted on your u/s results. It must have been pretty nice having your doctor right there explaining what he was seeing, since usually the techs aren't allowed to say too much. I've seen lots of u/s but still think they're hard to figure out.

Maybe your primary doc can help you with your decision. Let us know how your visit goes, okay?

s, Beth
