HCG Diet: Progesterone Question

I've been reading up on HCG, and from what I've read, the only things that HCG really does in the body is to plug into the proper receptor. When it plugs into the receptor, it makes an ovarian part (corpus luteum) secrete Progesterone. It also is said to have a negative charge, leading to possible killing off of immune cells, and the severity of morning sickness in pregnant women.

So my question is this: Ig HCG makes people of both genders loose weight, and HCG receptors are in the sexual organs, and HCG mostly just causes the creation of Progesterone, and any overdose of progesterone is known to cause headaches and nausea, wouldn't Progesterone supplementation work just as well for weight loss as HCG?

I'm not a doctor, but I've been doing a lot of reading recently, and it at least SOUNDS logical.

I'd love your input.

I have some drops to try. My sister did it and lost 16 pounds. I know others who have lost 40ish pounds. Sounds logical to me too.

I have a HysterSister friend who did the injections, but she kept her ovaries too, so I have no clue how it would work for any of us who had it all removed.

She swears that the injections are SO much better than the drops, but I have no clue at all.
