Exercise and sleeplessness & hot flashes

I'm wondering if any of you noticed a reduction in heat flashes and getting some good sleep once you resumed exercising? I'm not having the internal combustion heat flashes that some ladies seem to experience, but my body temp rises a few degrees all over and definitely wakes me up. I go from covers to no covers all night long. No HRT here and really want to try not to. I'm hoping once I resume my normal exercise regime, I will at least get some sleep once again. I'm walking 3-4 miles most days, but I'm a runner and I love the exhaustion I feel from a long run. Still 2 weeks out from that though. Thanks for any input you have.
