3 weeks post hysterectomy and golf

I had a TLH and apart from still getting really tired I feel great, so great that I've been walking 18 holes in the golf course with my chipper and putter. I text my surgeon to ask when I could progress to a half swing abc he said swing away your body will tell you if it's too much. Well I didn't feel anything out on the course but a certainly did when I got home. I'm really sore, back on pain relief and have a heat pack back on my tummy, it's also very swollen. I've got no bleeding but I feel like a bus hit me. Has this happened to anyone else. I'm really worried that I've done some damage.

Wow, you're very brave to walk 18 holes. I could not make it that long and definitely not swing, that is using a lot of your core muscles. I hope you're feeling better after resting!

No matter how tempted you are, DONT DO IT! Please, you don't want complications. Just because you feel fine at the moment doesn't mean you won't have long lasting effects. A little patience goes a long ways and you will thank yourself later for it.

thanks. My body told me not to do it as well. I'm sticking to the putting and only twice a week for about a half hour. Just enough to keep me from going insane I'm really missing it but your right if I don't look after myself now I won't be playing in the future
