3 days post-op with numb tongue???

I woke from anesthesia with a weird numb feeling on the right upper side of my tongue. I thought it may have been caused by the breathing tube or related apparatus. I still have the feeling, which is a little like when novacaine wears off after a dental procedure. It has improved some. With all of my other issues, I forgot to mention it to my dr today. Has anyone else had this happen??

Have you called your dr since you fogot to ask? I have never heard of this happening, but a numb tongue can be a sign of an allergic reaction so I would find out for sure what the issues is.

You may be right. dr thinks bladder problem may have been caused by a latex allergy. Tongue is not swollen, just numb.
