Good News!....

I spoke with my OBGYN today and she agreed with me that 12 years of heavy bleeding was extreme. So she set up an appointment for me to see a very talented young surgeon from Stanford University. My friend told me that he is a very caring man, who is a good listener. He is very open to alternatives as well. Iam pretty sure though that because of the combination of things Iam dealing with here: fibroids, cysts, and hyperplasia that I will problably go for the hysterectomy. I cant ignore the mild left sided pelvic pain as well. Better to get on top of this now. Iam very blessed to have ovaries that are in good shape. I just hope I can handle the pre-op jitters.

I am so happy that your appointment went well! I hope that you are able to get the treatment you need with this surgeon, it sounds as if things are heading in the right direction for you. Be sure to discuss all the options available to you with the surgeon.
