Feeling tired of struggling!9 weeks post-op

Hi sisters,it's been 9 weeks since I had my surgery & I don't see any improvement about my burning pain in the vagina, also in the bladder,It's not an UTI, so far I've tried so many things. My whole body gets so hot like if I had fever,(my hands, feet) even my eyes get hot that make me sleepy & that makes my vagina feels like if it will raise more temperature in the interior. My Gyn wasn't the best one seems like it, he made me feel weird kept on saying "he had never seen that burning pain so far "he ran out of ideas he finally said, all Davinci surgery seems to suceed except for me!He sent me to the Hospital of the University of Texas to see a specialist still waiting for the appoinment, calling them almost everyday????meanwhile I am feeling such a discomfort, even went to my family practice Dr,at least she took my hormone levels blood test still waiting for an answer, but she gave me estradiol just in case I do have both ovaries. I even went back to work last thursday to see if I wouldn't be focus on the problem, but I am not crazy the pain is there!I feel like I don't have any more strength, I thought my quality of life will be great, now I even feel more miserable, even my husband & I we barely talk after he told me he's tired of my complains I keep quiet now.Sorry ladies for such a long post!hope you don't get tired of me too.where else can I go?what can I do sisters?feeling tired of struggling!

We are here for you anytime, your pain is real, hoping you will be able to figure out what is causing it soon so you can get some relief.

Glad your family practice Dr is listening to you.

Do you live close enough to the university that you could go by in person to see about getting the appt?
Is the doctor at the university supposed to be more of a specialist in the gyno women's issues?

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Sending gentle hugs your way. Keep us posted and remember we are here for you anytime.

First of all HUGS!!! Please know that you are not alone in your struggles. I will be 12 weeks post op this week and I still have pain, but not the burning sensation you're describing. Maybe someone else will post and help you out. Can you call the gyn that did your surgery to see if they can push to get you into the specialist? Sometimes doctor to doctor gets you an appointment faster. He needs to understand how much pain you're in even if he can't figure it out. Mine has told me she sees no reason I should be in pain either, so I feel your frustration. I am getting better though, so hang in there and know it does get better.

Re: Feeling tired of struggling!9 weeks post-op

Hi first off I am so sorry u r feeling like this. I have been struggling with a constant burning pain down there as well. My dr. sent me to a urologist! He gave me something called urelle it helps with the pain. It also turns ur pee pee blue! They told me u can't tk it form more than a week. But it does help some.I also was on several different antibiotics before one helped. I hope u get an appt soon. Keep calling and I agree have the drs office call for u they tend to get appts quicker then we can.. Mk sure u tell yr dr how much pain u r in!! I've even tried ice packs when all else fails... Takes some pain away... I wish u the best and keep calling ..I know how bad the pain is and I'm so sorry u have to deal with this. Sending hugs ur way!! Maddie

Soleil,
I don't know if this will be of any help to you, but I had a continuous bladder infection for 3 months after surgery. Had 4 rounds of antibiotic treatment with 3 different drugs which did end the fever, but I still had pain, burning, leaking, and frequency after all of that. I finally asked my dr. if it could be a yeast infection in my urethrea that might be causing these symptoms since the UTI test was negative. She agreed with me and prescribed 30 days of Diflucan, with a refill if I need it. She siad she could feel that my urethra was "on fire" and that this would be difficult to clear up. The Diflucan helped immensely. I felt better in just a couple days, but I still continued the treatment for the full month. Just a thought for you and the dr. to consider...... Hope you feel better soon.

Re: Feeling tired of struggling!9 weeks post-op

Thanks a lot sisters for all your ideas & suggestions I will keep on trying to get that appoinment with the urogynecologist, today I went to my family practice Dr & she put premarin vaginal cream I felt some relief, but she left to another state for six month for a training, so I don't have a Dr now I don't want to see my Gyn anymore, as he said" he has no more ideas & he's never seen this before!"I will tell whoever will see me about the treatment with the Diflucan.Once again thank you so much!Hugs!
