Finally back home. been hospitalized 3 times since surgery for diverticulitis

Hi ladies.. So glad to be back home and hopefully on the Mend. Hysterectomy part is going ok. Unfortunately I have had complications from the stress of surgery. I have been in the hospital 3 times now for Diverticulitis being the main reason and the main major complication, that pain is like no other I have ever experienced. Bladder infection, UTI and Yeast infection. I have been on so many antibiotics I find it unreal that I could still have infection. But I do. Just started two more antibiotics and have an apt with GI doctor in two weeks. Has anyone else had complications from the stress of surgery? I was not sure what was happening. So glad to be out of pain today. Seems I may be starting to mend. My doctor assured me that everything else looked great and since I am not taking hormones I have been surprised so far that I have not had major problems other than hot flashes and sweating some. Only melt down I have had was in the hospital, only because of the Pain and I was unable to take any pain meds at all!! not until my bowels were working properly. I am hoping to get this diverticulitis under control and hoping I will not need more surgery.. Hope all you ladies are healing well

I'm so sorry you've been through so much. It's been a tough road for you and I hope you're resting and on the road to recovery. Please keep us posted on how you're doing!
