Vaginal Cuff Inection - Felt like flu - lesson, see Dr asap

I am 8 days post hop after LSH. I woke up yesterday morning feeeling GREAT, like my "old" self. Several hours later I started getting a fever. It felt like the flu. My friends encouraged me to call my doc, which I did even though I thought it was excessive. 8 hours in the ER and several tests later, I have the flu AND a vaginal cuff infection. Armed with tons of meds (2 antibiotics)...just taught me to take action with these things and not minimize. Wondering if others have had similar experiences.

I hope you get to feeling better soon! Sorry you have to deal with this on top of recovering from surgery. I have been fearful all week that my cuff would get infected, I had a super bad bout of bleeding Tuesday night and the biggest thing upon discharge they warned me of was infection of the cuff since I had a hematoma there! Well I sure hope you get well soon. Take it easy and rest up!! Hugs!!!
