4 weeks post op still having soft bm's and diahrrea

Well, title says it all. I'm still very restricted in what I can eat. Still very limited in fruit and veg. Very frustrating. I'm getting tired of the same bland foods so my stomach doesn't get upset.

I used to have problems with IBS/IBD and I had a lot of bowel problems before surgery. I had large fibroids pushing on everything. I'm wondering if I don't go back to some supplements I was taking to try to help? I'd like a plan B in case my doc tells me it's normal and will clear up on it's own. Yeah doc...when is that though? But I think it's time to go see him this week.

Do any of you have any input? Ideas? Thoughts?

I should mention, I'm not on any pain medication. I am getting over a cold. I'm not taking any medication for that. I don't take any supplements currently. I just take my birth control pills because I still have my ovaries, my allergy meds, and my bladder meds.

My surgery was an open myomectomy (removed very large fibroids) and hysterectomy, leaving my cervix and ovaries. It was a pretty big surgery. I'd been sick a good 2 or 3 years beforehand. I know my body has a lot to heal from.

Any info appreciated!

Hey there me2.0

I'm sorry that you are still battling the bowel and stomach issues.

I think you have the right idea, though, to check in with your I remember soft stool for what seemd like forever. I started keeping a log of what I was eating and determined that I needed a little more substance (Itried to turn over a new leaf and eat all this healthy stuff post op and I think my body was in shock )

I that your will be able to give you some insight as to what's happening.

Blessings on you ...
