What do I do now about my PMS symptoms?

I am 3 wks post op and have my ovaries. I now understand that I will still have PMS symptoms which I have experienced with back pain and tender breasts. Will my symptoms decrease in intensity now that I have had my uterus taken out? What do I do now to help with the pain from PMS without the bleeding?

I'm not sure how long PMS symptoms last, but I can tell that I had my TVH (kept ovaries) on 15 Sep 09 and still have PMS symptoms. At first I thought it was weird (figured I wouldn't have them anymore!) but I've read on various posts that it's pretty normal. I get the moodiness, cramps, swollen breasts, the whole bit...except for the period part. I do take motrin or tylenol and find that it helps.

I have been wondering alot about this too. I had pretty terrible PMS symptoms in the last year in addition to the long time bleeding issues. Foggy brain, insomnia, night sweats, anxiety just before I would bleed. Since my SAH, I understand that the monthly PMS will continue. I have been feeling very good since my Hyster. I'm a little scared that my ovaries are sleeping and that is why I feel good!!!!... I'm not sure I want them to wake up at all.
