ive graduated!

To the post op forum! I had my TAH/BSO yesterday afternoon. My first 18 hours or so have been rough. And my nurses less than nice. But after I spoke w/ my doctor we got my pain meds figured out and talked to the nurses about my care its been much better. Apparently there was quite a bit of scar tissue built up around my uterus and the adeno is one of the worst cases he has seen (and the worst for anyone my age). I'm going to be in the hospital for a day longer than expected because of all the digging that went on in there. After the doctor saw just how bad it was he told me that even with the depo lupron (an option I turned down) hysterectomy in my case was unavoidable. So far I have 0 symptoms of menopause. But I have a good outlook and am ready to begin the process of healing.
