DaVinci/ robotic/ laparoscopic hysterectomy question

Hi everyone,
I've been to see 2 doctors who specialize in robotic hysterectomies, and both said that there is no way for them to preserve the cervix unless I opt for TAH. They won't do morcellation because of the risk of spreading any potential cancer. Just wanted to confirm this with ya'll?

In general that is not correct. But do not know your particular circumstances. Mine was for prolapse, did Dvh, and kept cervix. Also had a sacralcolcopexy with mesh and rectocele repair and tot. I was only told if could not remove uterus through naval, it would be removed vaginally but no abdominal cuts. Did not need to do that....was done dvh laproscopically through naval... and kept cervix.

My doc diagnosed me with fibroids, one very large, and my uterus is the size of a 16-week pregnancy. Because I haven't had any kids, my uterus is too big to be removed vaginally.
