Days at the castle???

My doctor said almost everyone stays at least one night. The admissions lady said oh that's outpatient...yeah, right!!! I had my surgery mid-day and was in my room by about 3:30 p.m. I was totally out of it between the general anesthesia and the morphine pump...I had those leg pumps on too overnight. When I did get up to go to the bathroom (I am pretty sure it was the next morning) I had to throw up--I had to call the nurse with the call button to bring the pan in because my husband was sitting out there, but I couldn't call him through the door.

It's up to your doctor when you leave. When the doctor came in the next day, she asked if I would be ready to go home that afternoon. I said yes since I was having no bleeding and not needing much morphine. They gave me oral Percocet. My husband took me home around 4:30 p.m.--so I was only at the hospital about 30 hrs. tops.

Once you're in there, your doctor doesn't have to send you home until you're ready and it's safe. You have to be able to get up and go to the bathroom. I would talk to the doctor about this and he/she may say oh with the vaginal and the bladder sling, count on two nights...

You will get more rest at home and probably be more comfortable.

My surgery solved the problems!

Days at the castle???

SHEESH HOW COMPLICATED! The insurance company told my DR they would only approve the one day but if I need more the hospital can call and get more approved as needed so I guess I am going to try not to worry about this!
I hope I can go home and feel ok that soon
