Is it too late to order a swelly belly band?

I've been eager to buy a swelly belly band, but I do not know if my incision will be vertical or horizontal. I have pre-op tomarrow, and plan to ask. But is it too late?

shipping is 2-4 days. I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and it shipped today. My surgery is the 26th. You should have enough time even with the holiday.

Is this only for TAH or should you look into one for LAVH also?

thats a good question, I am having a TAH so not sure but I would think the coolness would still feel great on a tender tummy even if it is still intact.

Good Morning Ladies,
I am having a LAVH on 12/13 and really want to purchase a Swelly Belly. My question is does anyone know if I should get the horizontal or vertical? I really feel I will need the support afterward but if I am going to spend the $ I want to be sure and purchase the correct one. Any advice is welcome!

If you are having an abdominal incision, it will take a week or so before you want anything touching your belly. I am 7 days post-op from my TAH and I can tell you I still don't want that thing wrapped around my belly. I think as time goes on it will get better, but I'm still very tender. I had ordered 2 of them.

Glad to hear you are doing okay after your TAH. I am having Laproscopic with 4 pin sized incisions 2 horizontal 2 vertical so I am unsure which to get. I am thinking horizontal but again am unsure.

I had a horizontal TAH, and I'd have murdered for a Swelly Belly Band. I thought I'd "make do" with an ice pack. I was very sorry I'd not made the investment. I was as swollen as a puffer fish, and the ice pack did not support my swollen belly one bit. We ended up using a wide Ace wrap to hold the ice in place so I could walk around.
