pre op bladder jitters

Okay, I have a question too, i don't want to feel left out! J/K, Seriously, I am waiting for a call back from my Dr's nurse right now. I have never had bladder problems in my life, but for the past 2 weeks I have been constantly running to the bathroom, ( let's just say it is not fun having this problem at work) and at the end of the day I barely make it home. I asked my mom, and she thinks that maybe the uterus could be falling onto the bladder? I have a little bit of nervousness about the surgery, right now it is dated May 16th. Okay, my question. Has anyone else had pre op bladder situations? I know with endo certain things happen, but this is pretty new to me. I have been on Lupron for 9 months, I am taking Premirin and Progesterone, and Iron for anemia. I guess this could be pre op jitters, I have kept my cool so far.... Thanks for listening....... Sara

pre op bladder jitters

Boy have I had them or maybe that should be I've never had bladder problems before. I just thought it was nervousness. The last time they looked my bladder looked okay. My uterus has dropped a little but not that much. The only other thing it could be is that my uterus is swollen and is pressing on the blader like your mOm said. Big help aren't I ?

Hi, Sara,

By now I hope that you have gotten a return call form your doctor. Your mom may be right, that your uterus is prolapsing and causing pressure on your bladder, but that can only be confirmed for sure by your doctor.

It's also possible that you have a urinary tract infection that is causing you to have to go more often than normal. And nerves could be adding to it, too.

To be on the safe side, in case it is an infection and you need a prescription, you probably should ask for an appointment. Please let us know what he tells you.
