Its all Sinking in.....GULP !
Time is moving so slow in my mind but yet its moving so fast when looking at my calander.
Feb 11th is D-ay when my party-package is being removed (TAH). I am tring so hard to keep a sense of humor (for my family and co-workers) but I am scared, worried very angry not to mention my body hurts
After seeing my Mom have disabling stroke in 2003, then my Gram have one last year... then my own history of clots in the lung, I am wondering if I should just go run and hide under a boulder, Its all sinking in ...... GULP!
I know I am in the best of care(even though my PCP and GYN have dropped out of the picture) and deep down, somewhere in my gut I know everything will be ok. But the thought of cancer, Staging, surgery, pain, losing control... Excuse me...I have to take a deep Breath now !!!
Ok I am better... next surge of emotion in check!
Thank you to all for letting me vent and thank you for a site to provide me with answers to my questions based from your experiences. God Bless to all and please reply cause This is all Sinking in........ and I hope this is just a normal reaction I am having.

I completely understand I'm going in 2-16 and feeling overwhelmed. I'm having hard time keeping emotions in check. Always been overly hormonal anyway so now that as you put it the "party-package" is revolting since it knows of its inevitable doom it is worse. Crying over the littlest things, getting mad over dumbest stuff and just plain feeling like somebody has punched the stuffings out of me emotional. Ready to have the stuffings removed and move on from this insane roller coaster I'm on. So believe me you are very normal cuz if not then I'm in a whole lot of trouble and having same feelings as you.
I just hope I can keep it all together long enough to keep from running down the hospital corridor in my backless gown my butt hanging out with an IV pole chasing me screaming no its my "party-package" and you can't have it.
Sorry I have a very warped sense of humor especially right now. Lack of sleep and bawling my eyes out over issue with DH. So how's that for hanging on until my big day with dignity and grace.
Hope this makes you feel better.
I'll be thinking of you and praying for you on 2-11. Good luck
Amra

Sweetie, you sound pretty normal to me. I went from laughing to crying and back again in a matter of minutes while I was waiting for my hyst. Add into everything a bit of the fear of the "what if's" - I was a mess.
Keep on taking those nice deep breaths, try to stay busy and you'll get there. Don't forget to take the time to do something nice for yourself while you're waiting. Something that you enjoy. A movie, dinner out, shopping, a nice long soothing bath - whatever you enjoy most!
Best wishes.

I'm due to have mine out on 2/11 too.... the whole thing. I've been spazzing out really bad the closer ir gets! There's a thread on here that's called "ablation" which started as a question by me, but ended up turning into a freak-out party , then I came to my senses and calmed down... roller coaster pass #9,745 done for the week!!!!
As far as I can tell, we're either normal, or we're all just a bag of mixed nut's!!!
Amra.... I've actually had a dream similar to your running, screaming thing!!!! LOL And I wonder why I have insomnia!!!! Also... does anyone notice that their symptoms got worse closer to surgery? I think that you mentioned it, but I could be mistaken? Maybe I'm just noticing them more...
Anyways.... I don't think that we're abnormal, nutty, or even just worriers! I'm not one to cry openly, but I've done it 10+ times a day for the last week.... It's normal!!!
You're in my thoughts....... Heal Well!

Its all Sinking in.....GULP !
Hello Ladies!
If I've said it once, I've said it a million times--the weeks leading up to my surgery were quite an emotional roller coaster. I really lost it when I found out that I was going to have a breathing tube. That, and the thought of losing control were enough to make me feel like I was losing my mind. And on the day of my surgery, I remember telling my friend that I "couldn't do this." We wouldn't be human if we weren't frightened. I hope for you all that the waiting truly is the hardest part. It was for me.

Hey moonstone-opal,
So glad to know I'm not the only one with visions of insanity racing through my miind. All though it would make great coverage on the evening news.
"WOMAN SET FOR SURGERY GETS CHASED BY RABID IV BOTTLE SEEN WITH BACK HANGING OUT SCREAMING YOU CAN'T HAVE MY UTERUS"
Wouldn't that be something.
Good luck to you on the 11th I'll be thinking of you fondly not running down the hospital corridor.

I have to say,, you gals gave me a good laugh. which we all can use.. I too have a fear of back end hanging out. You see, I am a large woman,, and when I was younger ( 56 now), I was going to gat a tatoo on the buttocks that was the USDA sign.. Boy, am I glad I never had the nerve. What a sight that would be with my sagging cheeks....lol.
I am having surgery the same day as you amra. I go to the dr tomorrow for pre-op. Hope to find out how she plans on taking party pkg out....
keep the sense of humor,, it helps

nanagoat,
But just think of all those good-looking interns that could be talking about us or at least our ends. And as long as our ends are the topic of conversation then they can't be talking about any one else. And trust me I am ready to be off the topic list at work.

I don't think that many good looking interns would be talking about my butt!! Maybe saying, "Wow, she can really move for a fluffy girl!" or maybe, "Did you see that harvest moon?"
LOL

Its all Sinking in.....GULP !
Hi all
Another 11th Febber here! I havent actually cried or anything. I am just resigned to it all. I think I just know its all out of my control and whatever will be will be. I have no idea how I am gonna get through it all cos I have 4 kids, the youngest is 9 months. Hubby is getting about 4 weeks off and then I may go to my mums with the baby for a while but that will mean getting a childminder for before and after school care. Oh I dunno I dont really feel totally ready and prepared for this but seem void of emotion.
Hope we all are pleasantly surprised.
Alison
