Stitches and tape removed today- ouch! Help with burning and healing?

I went for my on-week post-op appointment today and the doctor removed the stitches and surgical tape on all 5 incisions- YIKES was that more painful than expected! Especially when my ab muscles are still super sore!

I have been very caution all day with movements because there is nothing to hold them in place anymore and I am terrified that with a cough, movement, bend, etc. the wounds will reopen.

4 of the 5 still have open wound areas (one has closed properly. They are burning and very bothersome.

What have others done topically to help the burning and proper healing? Any certain ointments? Essential oils?

Thank you in advance for any ideas!

I was told to let them come off naturally. The water from showing usually was what would eventually loosen them. I think there was one at about 3 weeks I gently pulled it off. I did have one that got red and sore - kept a bandaid with OTC triple antibiotic on it. You are still early so check with the doctor before using it. But, there is no reason you can't put bandaids over to protect them from your clothing.
