Toys

I collect stuffed moose, and they are sooooo cute! I am also making me a moosle relaxer (that is a sock filled with rice, with felt antlers that kinda looks like a moose, you put it in the micro wave and warm it and it feels oooooh so good on sore spots)
So I have decided that I am taking the stuffed moose and an old sock filled with rice!

not silly at all. i have a "build a bear" that i built a couple of years ago with a little friend of mine (i had so much fun doing this!)...and i took her with me. i even got her a "scrub" outfit to wear..everyone thought it was cute.

and hey, this surgery is all about you...so do what you want!

best wishes,

Brambles

Hi ThePollyAnna and other ladies,
I am having my TAH in just under two months. Recently my mom and I went teddy bear shopping to pick out a bear to be with me post-operatively. I chose a Russ bear named Brambles. He has now gone into hibernation and I will not see him again until the day of my surgery.
Best wishes!

Stuffie bear sounds good to me. I brought: Framed photo of me and boyfriend; portable CD player and favorite tunes; toothbrush & toothpaste; hairbrush; makeup kit. Never did use the makeup. Didn't even brush my hair the whole time.... But I did like having the photo to look at. It showed us smiling and goofy, and that cheered me up. My boyfriend visited me every day -- he's a big old fuzzy bear, so he was my bear.

i will be 1 week away from my 48th birthday when i become a princess (this coming monday). i'm going to be bringing this huge stuffed bear that my dh got me a couple of years ago. my dd named it chester snuggles (because he now sits on my cedar chest) and he is so snuggly too.

we have dressed the bear up in my lsu bandana and my dd has loaned "chester" her tiger ears. so chester is going with me to the castle with his bandana and his tigers ears too. i plan on keeping him ever so close to me while i'm in the castle to help get me though my visit.

Bear

First memory was beeing kissed by my DBF. He wanted to see if I was really "Sleeping Beauty" and he was my 'Prince Charming". Then my two teenage daughters gave me a purple bear with angle wings. I cuddled that bear for the next 5 days. The nurses thought it was cute.

Well, I was 46 when I had my hyst, and a professional in the same hospital where my surgery was performed.

I brought my tattered, 10-year-old Raggedy Ann with me; she goes everywhere with me and has travelled all over the U.S. and Canada (and looks it!).

No laughs or even raised eyebrows!

"chester snuggles" is no small bear but he is the first thing i'm grabbing to take with me to go to the castle. i don't care what anyone thinks. he's a combination of my dh who gave it to me and my dd who gave me her tiger ears for him and my lsu bandana.
