Just a few questions

I am getting close to my date. I am having a LAVH and was wondering a few things. I have read a few places about test done at the pre op appointment but have not heard anything about them from my doctor. What kind of test are they.
Also I was wondering about how long it is befor you can drive with the type of surgery I am having?

I know the recoop time is supposed to be less with a vaginal but just wondering how much less. I know the doctor will answer these questions at my preop apt. but that isn't untill Wens. and my Surgery is Thursday.

I have to admit I am starting to get scared.

Thanks for any help.

Just a few questions

Hi Mishelle

I had a tvh and the only thing I had done at my pre-op was blood drawn and an ekg. Once I got to the hospital, they played the 50 questions game. Others here have watched movies, filled out forms, etc.

My dr gave permission to drive after 2 weeks which is pretty average. Normal recovery time is 4-6 weeks. I have felt good thru the whole recovery process and other than one "hit by a truck" day around 2 1/2 weeks, I can't complain.

If you have other questions, you could call your dr's office. That's what I did. They won't mind. I just wanted to know everything that was going to happen.

Give them a call and put your mind at ease!!!
Blessings.
