Est Ring Alternatives?

Could anyone give me an idea as to what would be a good alternative to the Est-ring? I was experiencing atropy and my Dr suggested the ring. It works beautifully, but my partner can feel it, as I have no cervix for it to hide behind! any suggestings?

You could ask your doctor about using a vaginal estrogen cream. Or there is Vagifem, which is a vaginal estrogen tablet.

I'm not a user myself, but I think you can and should remove it prior to intercourse.

Hi Are you sure the Estring is inserted in the upper third of the vagina? And your partner can still feel it? The instructions that come with Estring say:

Most women and their partners experience no discomfort with ESTRING in place during intercourse, so it is NOT necessary that the ring be removed. If ESTRING should cause you or your partner any discomfort, you may remove it prior to intercourse (see ESTRING Removal, below). Be sure to reinsert ESTRING as soon as possible afterwards.

That said, I use Vagifem and love it. It's very easy to use and not messy at all. You could just use it after intercourse instead of before.
