Antiseptic Spray for the rawness pain!!

Okay, girls, I just found my new best friend! I am 3 weeks out post vaginal total-hysterectomy. I couldn't relieve the raw feeling on the vagina area, and no oral medicine addressed that pain. I called my doctor and he recommended over the counter antiseptic/pain relieving spray. I got some Solarcaine and am in heaven! You only get 3 sprays a day, so I start my day with a squirt, save my second for bedtime, and then, if needed, have the third in the middle of the night. I can't tell you what it's done for me - the best thing is when I go to sleep... I had a hard time icing right at bedtime, so now I squirt and drift off to sleep painfree!!

Really? Solarcaine on the vaginal area?? It sounds painful to me, has anyone else tried it?
