Post Op Bowel friendly hydration

It can be a challenge to get enough water to keep the bowels working. I had a lap/hyster on Monday and a complication with bladder adhesions has a catherter at my side for the week.
I am able to take advantage of lots of hydration. I took my hiking 'hydo-pac' (has a 2L (1/2 gallon) water capacity, strapped in to the back of my easy boy chair and sip on it all day long.
The Metamucil caps 5 taken 3X's a day certainly have helped keep things soft and regular.

If you don't have a catheter the hydration makes such a difference in recovery! The trips to the toliet make for an excellant post-op exercise. Thank you to the peri bottles inventor!
