6 weeks on and my mood has plummeted, is this normal?

I had an abdominal hysterectomy 6 weeks ago and my recovery has been surprisingly rapid. But last night I was getting ready for a Christmas night out with friends and all of a sudden I decided I couldn't go. I then burst into tears and couldn't stop. I put my pyjamas on and rang my friends to say I wasn't going. the thought of being surrounded by lots of people looking lovely just filled me with dread. I am a single mum to a wonderful 15 year old boy who was so sweet to me but that just made me even more emotional. I still feel quite low today and can't be bothered to do anything. Should I be feeling like this so long after my surgery?

Because you said surrounded by beautiful women, I think you might think you're different from then now and you're not. You're a s beautiful as you've ever been. Do you have your ovaries? Maybe it's just typical pms.
