5 hour Drive 10 days post-op
I am having a LAVH on 3-25. Ten days later my newphew is getting married. The wedding is a 5 hour drive away & Because I live in a small town a plane ride would be over 6 between drive time to the airport & Layovers.
I do not want to spend the time & money to go only to be too miserbale to actaully go to the wedding.
I am 46 otherwise healthy and my surgery is for VERY LARGE fibroids, entometriosis and adnomyiosis.
What do you think? Should I Accept or decline the invitaion.

5 hour Drive 10 days post-op
My inclination would be to graciously decline the invitation. 10 days post-op seems rather soon for a 5 hour drive & then a day of attending weddings, recptions etc. If you really want to try to go, I'd discuss it with your dr first. Get his/her advice on it. Ultimately, your health should come first, IMO.

5 hour Drive 10 days post-op
I think it is a pretty big day for ten days post-op. I drove four hours at 21 days to get to our vacation house for a week. My doc wanted me to get out of the car every hour and walk around for fear of blood clots. The driving REALLY took a lot out of me, I was exhausted. (even as a passenger, sitting in the car is tough).
I'd ask your doctor.

5 hour Drive 10 days post-op
Sounds like a lot to do in one day with only 10 days since surgery. At 4 weeks I drove and hour and went to 2 baseball games and spent the whole next day in bed! I am sure you family would understand if you can't attend - send a nice card and a gift!
