Pain meds

Ok here's the deal, I was already taking morphine for fybro before I had my surgery,Apparently they had a hard time regulating it because I was so tolerant. After they took the pain pump away and sent me home, my doctor didn't give me any prec. For more pain meds because I was already on morphine,ok I get that, but now I don't know how much to take,I obviously need more and I was trying to tweak it, with my husbands guidance,I dont know if I'm better off taking the slow release or the fast acting, believe me I don't want the extra constipation but I do need a bit more,well tommorow I go get my staples,out maybe I'll get some answers there.... Probably not ,no one wants to be responsible for any increase believe me.

yep been there........ Aftr being on slow release pre op and machine post op, on discharge I took fast relief but lowered the dose every few days four days after being on smallest dose i stopped and started on codiene and parcetomol, the transition wasnt too bad, had insomnia anyway so figured i would go through withdrawals whilst suffering post op get it out way, it was my dcision to do that and wth dh giving tlc leg massages and hwb refill runs (day and night), i got through it. Now i only take codieme and/ or paracetomol prn.
So i suggest fast acting, that way you can cut down as your pain subsides xxx
