Help! Did too much 12 weeks post hysterectomy

I've been feeling ok. Had my surgery on nov 24th and have been getting back to my regular routine. I've been running and got a spin bike and have been doing some spinning with very little soreness. I thought since I'm so far out everything would be ok to go back to pilates reformer. I went to an instructor in Monday and did an easy routine. It felt ok during but two hours after it did not. Today is Wednesday. This was three days ago and I still feel slight twinges and my vag feels swollen. Doctor appointment is Monday. Based on experience does anyone thing I damaged myself? I don't feel terrible pains but soreness like after I would overdo walking soon after my surgery. I'm terrified of prolapse.

Re: Help! Did too much 12 weeks out

I had my surgery on the EXACT same day and I just came on here to post about this issue. I'm still getting super swollen. I thought once i was cleared to live regularly that i would feel fine but NOPE. I dont think you damaged yourself, I just think you are doing too much too soon. I read on a blog somewhere that at 12 weeks you are still only 50% healed.

I have been reading more and more scary stories about prolapse and I'm freaking myself out thinking I made the wrong choice. I'm very active and I want to be able to do all the activities I enjoyed before but some people say you can't do them after this surgery.

Re: Help! Did too much 12 weeks out

I am at 13 weeks. Each time I have gone back to something I did before I have had some swelling. I take some Ibuprofen give my body a rest for a day or two and then get back to it. I have found that the first time around for anything....biking, cleaning stalls, doing T25, carrying bales of hay, carrying water buckets, shoveling snow....each thing brought on swelling the first time or two. After that I had no problems. With me, my body just needed to go through an adjustment period. I can't do T25 every day, but I can do it every other day and will push to every day in the very near future. Just easing back in to the old routine seems to be the way to go.
