24 hours to go

Hi!
I just called my Dr.'s office to confirm tomorrow's surgery and they told me to be at the hospital at 9:40 and surgery is at 10:40.
Only one problem, we are due for a snow storm tonight and they are predicting 6-10 inches. The nurse at my Dr.'s office said they only time she knew of surgery being cancelled was last year when we got 2 feet.
I don't want to get there and have them tell me "sorry we need to reschedule." Especially after being on a liquid diet today and then bowel prep! Not to mention all the anxiety!
Just wondering what you all think?
I really don't want to be worrying about the weather right now!

Looks like the castle is awaiting both of us!!! Dec 6th here too! I thought I was getting a cold 2 weeks ago and freaked out, I just knew they would reschedual. Thank God it was just sinus stuff and it is gone now!
I hope everything works out for you and sergury will be as planned. I had mine posponed for a month, I couldnt even imagine a year!

Hi, Laurie!
Sounds like you're in for more of a storm than I am. Only calling for a few inches in my part of PA (eastern).
My sister was scheduled for a C-section many years ago and we had the blizzard of all blizzards. Ended up that an ambulance was sent to pick her up and get her to the hospital--the doctor was already there!!!!!
Here's hoping we get NO snow.
But you certainly don't need to have more stuff to worry about. I too was very anxious the day before the surgery. Everything went well. I'm sure you'll be just fine.

Try not to worry. I am in NJ and we are supposed to get snow today and tonight as well.

Hospitals don't shut down because of snow. My mom works in a hospital and they have never stopped running because of snow.

Try not to let that stress you out. You will be fine and this time tomorrow, you will be in the recovery room giving a huge sigh of relief.

We have a little snow on the ground but it's 4 degrees out.

I lucked out and don't have to do any bowel prep.

Don't worry just focus on your big day. Although the thought of has crossed my mind too. (?) Take it as it comes. Good luck for tomorrow too. You'll be okay!
