Hey I'm a control freak too!

I went as far as having my son's birthday party the day before surgery. My whole family helped get it spotless before the party. It was a beautiful site.
As soon as I got home from the hospital, (surgery on Mon. and home on Thur.)it was back to a mess. Don't get me wrong, the dishes and laundry was caught up. (that was only because my Mom came over to help) but the rest still is a mess. I am just learning to give up control, and try to remember that things will be back to normal someday.
My hardest part is that my Mom (bless her soul) does not do things the same way I do. I am biting my tongue, and keeping my mouth shut. I know that she is trying her best.
I had a prolapsed uterus, My surgery was TVH with bladder and rectal repairs. On 3/12.
I will say that one of the pluses is not having an extra part to wash during my shower (how embarassing)
My recovery has gone very well and I can honestly say the waiting is the hardest part about it.
Hope this helped,
Angela

Hey I'm a control freak too!

The chores are getting done, that's great! They just aren't being done your way and that's ok. I'll bet life as you know it won't turn upside down because of the difference! If you have kids, there is a trick that might work. Set a timer for 10-15-20 minutes. Depends on the age of the kids. Each one has a specific chore to do and they work on that that chore in one room until the timer goes off. Knowing that there is a treat (piece of candy, extra tv time, ?) and that the timer will soon ding can get a lot of work out them. When I'm being lazy, I use it for myself! Anybody can do 20 minutes on a room before they allow themselves to go get online and check in here!
Good Luck!
Miranda
