did pre-op today and going to castle tomorrow ...SCARED

Well I did the pre-op today and now I am going to the castle in the morning at 6am. Boy am I scared and so nervous. My Dr. answered all my question and I am fine with everything. Just so scared. I also found out he is doing a TAH. First it was a TVH. But he said the way my ovaries are he needs to do TAH.

I really appreciate this site and all of you. You all have been so supportive and very loving. Can't wait to get back home and report things back to you. Hope to hear from you all before I go.

hey there, best wishes........you are in all the sisters prayers. we either have been thru it or "waiting" (like me) to go thru it. We all have the nerves, etc.........just natural........but just keep thinking. "I will be fine",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I know it's no use telling you not to worry - people told me and on the journey down to the operating theatre i blubbed all the way convinced i would never see the light of day again... I had a very nice nurse called karen who held my hand and made me think happy thoughts as i went under - next thing i know i'm awake. 6 hours later i'm beginning to feel like me again and am sitting up with my legs dangling over the side of the bed - i got out of bed the next morning and took my first steps - ate my breakfast - had a wash... it's all feeling bizarrely normal again now!

You will be fine Lacy - the waiting truly is the worst part, and you're nearly done with that now...
