LAVH 12/21/04 question. THanks
Hi! I'm new here. My name is Nichol and I have three children. I have been having problems all year with this pain on my left side mid range. I had a ultrasound in May showing that I had a 4cm cyst on my Falopian Tube. I had Lap. Surger on 6-15-04 and had it removed. I only have menstration every other month and have had reacouring pains ever sence, expecailly during menstration and periods. I don't flow heavy but never really have. I have also been having problems with bladder spasms and bowl problems. I have been back to the Dr. many times and she says I may have vericose vains in my uterus but was unsure without a cat scan. I do have a very enflamed uterus and do need my left overy removed. We opted to just have a LAVH because of the severe pain. Has anyone else had pains on the left side mid range and what was it and what did they do to treat it? I have also had back aches at times and headaches. Good luck to all you sisters who are having surgery during the holidays.
Thanks Nichol

LAVH 12/21/04 question. THanks
Hi, Nichol Before I became a punctured princess last month, I had many of the same symptoms you had. I had cramping throughout the night all month long in my low back. It felt like I was having a heavy period but there would be nothing there in the morning. My periods were very irregular. I never knew when to expect one. When I had the LAVH/BSO, it was mainly for a complex cyst on my right ovary. During surgery, they found cysts on my left ovary and on one of my fallopian tubes.
It was the uterus that surprised me. I knew it was enlarged, smashing my bladder and giving me many bladder infections. But during surgery, the dr found I had very large veins coming off the uterus the size of our fingers. They were supposed to be small spider like veins. That was mainly the cause of all the cramping I was getting without a period. Since surgery, I'm very happily sleeping throughout the night with no pain and healing pretty normally like the rest of our Hyster Sisters here
After surgery make sure you check the site once a week. You'll find you're healing like you should be and that makes for a more relaxing recovery God bless you, Nichol. My prayers are with you Tuesday Merry Christmas to you and your family -- Marcie

LAVH 12/21/04 question. THanks
Thanks to all your support and to the sisters who repled. I am having the surgery because I have continual cysts and possible vericose veins in my uterus, which could be fatal if pregnancy was to occure. Wish me luck! I hope the pains go away after surgery!
