First off, let me say that I am on Percocet so if any of this post does not make any sense, you know why!

I can't tell you my whole Castle experience at this time (hurts to sit up for very long) but I will just say that it hurt way more than I expected! I had an LAVH and WOW. It feels like I just gave birth to quads or something. My Dr ended up leaving both ovaries in. He said the right one looked perfect and the left one had a cyst on it that he was able to remove. Right before I got the Happy drug, we talked about my ovaries and I made a last minute decision to keep both if he thought they would work right for me for awhile. After hearing all the hormone stories, I just didn't want to deal with it if I didn't absolutely have to right now.

He said my uterus was very "mushy". He said I had "adenomyosis", which is very hard to diagnose through regular ultrasounds, etc...Instead of the fibroids growing OUT into the uterine cavity, the fibroids grew INTO the muscle wall. He said it looked like a sponge. The only way to cure adenomyosis is to have the uterus removed so I know I made the right decision there.

I will write more later; this Percocet is not cooperating with my fingers lol

Hope everyone is feeling fine!

I'm glad you are home, and that your surgery went well. Get lots of rest, and let the percocet do what it is supposed to. Take care of the Princess....

Hugs, T

Glad your home and the worst is over. I had a TAH in November, now 12 weeks post op and I feel the best I have in years. Nothing left took everything and I am not on any hormones at all due to high risk of blood clots. Feel great a few power surges now and then, but life is good. Here's wishing everyones life gets better each day!
