Looking for some help!! Pain!

I am 13 days post op tah and just started to have a shooting pain in my right side just above my ovary. It isn't constant but comes and goes. It feels like someone is stabbing me. I get it when I am up. Any ideas?!!! I did have a bad day yesterday, doing a little (or lot) too much! My dd woke up with the worst sor throat so I had to take her to the Drs and she does have streph! DH was at our cabin with some workman and an aunt was going to spend the day with us but I didn't want to get her sick. So I drove my dd there and had to walk all over. You would think they would put the pharmacy near your dr office!! LONG WALK!!! A man must of planned it! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Looking for some help!! Pain!

OMG! I thought I was the only one with that pain. I too am having the same pain and I had my surgery 9-26. It started around Wed or Thurs and it definitely hurts when I wake up in the morning to get my girls ready for school. I have this sort of pulling/burning feeling on my right side but really low (about 3 inched below my incision.) I called the dr. and he was out sick, but the nurse seemed to think I may have strained a ligament by doing too much. I have an appt with another dr on tues so I will ask him. The only thing I can do is wait and see. I am trying to take it easy though, but it doesn't seem to work. Good luck and remember to take it easy.

Looking for some help!! Pain!

Hi hurtntummy.
I can remember doing things like this and ending up in pain, like you are today. Since you know you over did yesterday it's probably safe to say your body is just letting you know about it, but if this pain continues you should call and let your dr know. It isn't unusual to hurt like this when you've done too much. I would suggest you stay in the recliner pretty much today and maybe try a nice warm rice bag where it is hurting. I hope you will feel better with rest. Let us know.

's, Rita

Looking for some help!! Pain!

I had similar symptoms after my second c-section. The pain made me afraid to move sometimes for fear it would happen again! My doctor said it was probably scar tissue from first c-section healing up (hope I remember this correctly). Anyway, the episodes became farther apart and disappeared altogether after about a week. So hang in there but I would sure call the doctor today to double check. My LSH was 10/3 and it sounds like you're feeling like I did- better than expected so you think you can do more than you really can... be careful

I can relate

I was wondering about this pain too, I have my post op appointment tomorrow. I had a vaginal hysterectomy on Oct 5, 2005. Thanks a lot for bringing up this topic.
