3 days post DaVinci

Feeling pretty good. Today is farting day. Stomach is sore, but I'm resting and not doing much. Drinking lots of water, walking a little, taking my Advil and enjoying the cooler weather. I hope everyone has a great day.

Re: 3 days post DaVinci

I only have to wait 4 wks tops for intercourse.....why do you have to wait 12? I also got the Da Vinci hyst. also, Snorks, you and I had the same surgery on monday and my question is do any of your incisions sink in when you stand or have a bad burning feeling? I fear one of my incisions was stitched to something that settle when I stand and the pulling is causing burning....not sure what to do but that's where the majority of my pain comes from.

Re: 3 days post DaVinci

I'm originally from NJ doctor said she saw too many Davinci hysterectomy with torn vaginal cuffs after 6 weeks which was her original time frame, now her group says 12 to be safe and she doesnt have any more torn cuffs. I guess every doctor is different,

Re: 3 days post DaVinci

Msmoxie, I saw your question and had to check my incisions out. I have two with steri strips over them and no, they appear to be flat against my rather now large belly. They don't hurt, burn or feel pulled at all. I would probably ask your doc, but everything seems to be swollen right now, at least on me. Nothing hurts that bad, I just feel weird. Glad to see someone with my same surgery date. Where are you from?

Re: 3 days post DaVinci

I'm from NJ....you only have two incisions? how could that be? I have 5...the average is 4. mine are covered in bandages right now and my Dr doesn't want me touching the bandages until my 1 wk follow up, when she removes them, so I don't know what they look like underneath. The one that burns is the one they pull the uterus out of....the whole uterus, not cut up...so I'm not sure if that's why it hurts the most but that one is the one that sinks in and burns. I called my Dr. but she's in surgery right now and will call me back when she's done. It sinks in when I stand or am upright and it makes me think that it is somehow attached to something (muscle tissue, organ, etc) that settles when I am upright and especially standing. I have to pretty much keep a constant heat pad on it. When I walk I have to hole up that part of my stomach because it feels like its pulling and burns worse when I let go. Also, because my last 2 kids were so close together (10 months apart), my organs never settled back into place but now it seems everything did and it's back to normal so I wonder if maybe that could have something to do with it also. I have had quite a few surgeries in this region of my body and if I didn't have the burning feeling, I would probably feel top notch because I'm not bleeding or anything either.
